Wrangling event designs

  • Realistic, vendor-informed scheduling

I have training and experience working for print-forward and production agencies, where I learned how pre-press steps and production time can be managed in a creative project schedule.

I know vendors can't instantly print my work by magic – instead, I can bring advance planning, contingency scheduling and clear communication to do everything I can to make sure our artwork (and timelines) enable print vendors to produce and deliver on time.

  • Event design coordination and documentation

It was my responsibility to assess and understand the full scope of design support needed for Motorola Solutions events, whether they were company-hosted conferences or major industry tradeshows.

There were often many stakeholders, event organizers and approvers to consider – my priority was to create clear documentation of task statuses and make sure everyone has the specifications, design guidance and key dates they need to make the event a success.

  • Experience with large-format design requirements

Designing large-scale booths, displays and signage requires a different sense of scale and perspective, as well as specific color format and resolution specs.

Although every vendor is a little different, I'm experienced with finding out what bleed and safe space is required, whether a vendor can calibrate to brand Pantone shades and what resolution and ink density is needed to optimize printing.

So, what?

  • Large-scale advertising and event displays are expensive. I have the experience and design knowledge to help ensure you get the most bang for your buck.

  • I have experience juggling the many moving parts of event and conference designs and know the right questions to set them up for success.

  • I can help bring messaging impact and brand consistency to venue-wide graphic sets, helping attendees experience and engage with your brand.
