Event Design &
Coordination

Working in lockstep with the event teams at Motorola Solutions, I acted as a key connection point to provide creative and logistical support for Motorola Solutions–hosted events and industry conferences.

My design and project management expertise – as well as my attention to detail and investment in great attendee experiences – brought impactful onsite designs, clear specifications and design review processes, smart attendee resources and strong vendor relationships to our event initiatives.

Collaboration

Events involve so many moving parts – requirements, stakeholders, vendors, locations, timelines, design assets – that it’s essential to maintain clear communication, accurate progress reports and easy access to all pertinent materials and resources.

My experience engineering and managing many different asset organization systems and project management processes has helped me hone my workflow and organization instincts for events of all sizes.

THE SKILLS I BRING

Developing and maintaining live task lists and workback schedules using a variety of platforms (Google Sheets, Google Sites, Lytho Workflow, Hive) to make collaboration easy for creatives, reviewers and vendors.

Building smart process templates – for design proposals and reviews, asset inventory, presentations, reporting and more – to evolve and improve processes from one event to the next.

Smart solutions

My favourite benefit of juggling many fast-paced event launches? You learn really fast.

How to make workflows even more efficient. How to work smarter with vendors and production experts. How to overcome all the little obstacles and challenges that bring chaos to event management.

I love creating tools and processes that empower repeatable successes and identify gaps that can be proactively addressed, so that each event and initiative is smoother and more successful than the last.

THE SKILLS I BRING

My experience coordinating designs for all sorts of events enables me to think proactively and plan for the bigger picture – what are the goals for an event and how can I ensure all of the puzzle pieces align to meet those goals?

I hate making the same mistake twice. Whether it’s an easy fix or a journey of trial and error, effective feedback and reporting should always include improvements for next time.

Leadership

From design concept presentations to executive reviews to training sessions, I have a wealth of experience summarizing plans and communicating ideas.

I’m proud to act as an ambassador for my team and the brands I support, which also requires accountability and ownership of my proposals and results. I’ve learned that it’s important to bring empathy and accessibility to team collaboration and training, considering the perspectives of all stakeholders and audiences to remove barriers to collaboration.

THE SKILLS I BRING

Realistic and human-centred scheduling and task management. Understanding the specialties, workload, production time and requirements of each vendor and team member is key to creating measurable success – and long-lasting stakeholder relationships.

I take pride in setting my teams up for success, through clear expectations, reliable and accessible communication and helpful resources.

Fast learner

I’ve had the opportunity to learn, manage and train a wide range of different marketing and asset management tools throughout my career.

This has given me a lot of confidence in picking up new-to-me tools and learning the essential workflows each team uses to organize and schedule their event and promotion activities.

If I can inherit (surprise!), optimize, train and lead ongoing management for a 10,000+ item digital asset management platform, I can learn and teach any system I set my mind to.

THE SKILLS I BRING

Good design principles and a strong foundational understanding of design for production and templating. I’ve successfully created working design templates and design process workflows by leveraging tools like Google Slides, Google Docs, Adobe Express and Adobe Illustrator (depending on the output and the user base).

A love of great organization and workflows, giving me the ability to bring a holistic and results-focused perspective to the platforms and processes involved in marketing and events activities.
